PAPERS FOR PARENTS PROCESS SERVERS' EXPERIENCE (Received April 17, 5.5 p.m.) HOLLYWOOD, April 16 The court issued an order authorising the Sheriff to enter the home of Mrs. Bernstein, and subpoena her to make a deposition in connection with Jackie Coogan's suit for the recovery of money alleged to belong to him. The process servers yesterday could not gain an entrance, the maid saying her mistress was at Palm Springs, but they said they saw tho Bernsteins in the house. Two deputies, when the unlocked door was not answered, entered the house and found the couple in a bedroom dressing for dinner. They served the papers on them, the Bernsteins insisting that they had not heard the bell. The film actor Jackie Coogan is suing his mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bernstein, alleging that they deprived him of 4,000,000 dollars of his earnings. The Judge appointed a receiver for all tho assets in the parents' possession and ordered them not to dispose of any of these assets. He fixed the date for the preliminary hearing of the case at April 20.
