MORRINSVILLE NEWS

The Presbyterian Ladies' Guild held its annual gift afternoon this week, when the president, Mrs. H. Barford, welcomed a large number of members and friends. Mrs. K. McDonald gave two pianoforte solos, Mrs. H. Wilton (Tatuanui), sang, and Miss J. Laurenson gave two humorous monologues. Novel competitions were arranged by Mrs. S. Porter and Mrs. W. Finlayson, the winners being Miss J. Melntyre and Mrs. K. McDonald. Mrs. J. Bunkman, Thames Street, will leave shortly to reside in Te Aroha. Mrs. R. B. Morton and family, Bank Street, will leave this week for their beach cottage at Takapuna. Mrs. F. McDonald, Auckland, is the guest of Mrs, Hewitt, Hamilton Road. Mrs. J. W. Brown, Stuclholme Street, is spending a holiday at Rotorua. Mrs. R. Smith, Papakura, who has been 011 a motor tour, is at present the guest of Mrs. T. Donovan, Morrinsville. Mrs. Fi. Massev, Allen Street, is on holiday at New Plymouth. Mrs. N. Norgrove and family. Auckland, are visiting Mrs. D. C. McLeod, Strn thmov e Street. Mrs. J. Simmons-and family, Park Street, are visiting Stratford. Mrs. E. C. Ennis and the Misses C. and M. Ennis are visiting Napier. Mrs. A. Feisst, Pokeno Valley, is visiting her sister. Airs. W. Wybourne, Piako, Morrinsville.
