Columbia have engaged a surrealist painter to do "twelve mural paintings for an elaborate bedroom set in "There's Always a Woman " Alice Brady has had to leave the cast of "The Joy of Loving - ' on account of illness. It is hoped she will be well in time to take up her part.
Ernst Lubitsch's Paramount contract came to an end with the final cutting of "Bluebeard's Eighth Wife." Ho is going to Europe for a six months' holiday. Warners are'trying to persuade Kate Smith, radio singer, to play opposite Rudy Yalleo in "Gold Diggers in Paris " Kate Smith appeared on the screen in the 19«'J2 "Big Broadcast and Hello Everybody!" for Paramount. She was not then very pleased with her screen performance.
