MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
HAMILTON CANDIDATES / CIASS CONTROL DEPLORED [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Thursday "The promoters hold the view that although parties are apparently necessary at present in Parliament, class government in municipal affairs is to be strongly deplored," said Mr. 1. G. ' Reynolds in addressing a meeting of citizens convened by him for the purpose , of interesting electors in the forthcoming municipal elections. Mr. Reynolds referred to the announcement of a Labour ticket, and added that the idea of forming a citizens' association had received enthusiastic support. The whole object of the - association was to secure the best candir. dates for the council and for other local body positions. The meeting was also addressed by Messfs. H. J. McMullin, R. McCaw and H. M. Hammond. Messrs. Reynolds, McMullin, G. H. Bindon, C. >t. Parlane, 13. C. Lowrv '•and A. Gordon were elected a committee for formulating the details of the organisation, while a larger committee was elected to consider the nomination of candidates.
