REMANDS GRANTED A steelworker, James McLean Forbes, aged 42, charged with unlawfully converting to his own use a motor-car valued at £337, the property of Michael Ravlick, appeared in the Police Court, before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M.. yesterday. He was remanded for a week on bail of £SO. Charged with breaking and entering by day the house of Hercules Anderson, at Torbay, on March 31, and stealing goods valued' at £6 19s 9d, Roland Leslie Rush, carpenter, aged 27,' was also remanded for a week. A pantry hand, Frederick Hilton, aged 27, charged with deserting from the Akaroa, on March 1, at Wellington, was remanded for a week.
