ASSOCIATION'S .OFFICERS : MEMBERSHIP INCREASE [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] HAMILTON, Thursday A successful year's activities and a record annual show were referred to bv the retiring president, Mr. R. A. Hinton, at the annual meeting of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association held in Hamilton to-day. Thirty members were present; It was stated that during the past year 23 new life-members, nine ofdinarv members, 11S • special members and 120 other members had been elected to the association.

The association decided to-extend its congratulations to Mrs. ft. T. JReid, of Hamilton, who had been elected the first lady life-member of the association. It was mentioned that Mr.- Reid was also a life-member. Officers were elected as follows: President, Mr. P. H. Clarkin; senior vice-president, Mr. W. Franklin; junior vice-president, Mr. F. S. Veale; treasurer, Mr. H- Windsor i auditors, Messrs. Sanson and-. O'Mpara; committee, Messrs. R. A. , Hinton,., C. Bailey, P. "Bremer, R. Chilcott, T. Church, H. j. Finlnyson, G.
