TINY TOT CHAMPIONSHIPS EDUCATIONAL TOUR ENDS The Auckland Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association granted permission yesterday to Miss Mona Leydon, Dominion lady champion, to compete at the Dargaville Ciub's carnival on Tuesday next and at a carnival to be held by the Kiwi Club, Duiiedin t on April 20. An app'ication by the Waitemata Club for permission to hold a carnival in the Tepid Baths on April 12 was granted. The ttansfor of J. G. Buchanan from the North Shore Club to tho University Club was approved. It was resolved that tho tiny-tot championships of Auckland should be for children who had not attained the ago of 12 years by October 1, li).'J7, and that no child should bo permitted to compete unless his or her birth certificate was produced prior to the events.
Advice was received from the New Zealand Council that Misses K. Grey and J. Finlayson, and their chaporone. Miss E. Tilsley, of Auckland, had completed their educational tour in tho South. Island, and that Misses M. Loydon, of Auckland, J. Maedonald, of Invercargill, and G. Rix, of Dunedin, together with thoir chaperono, Mrs. E. C. Isaacs, of Dunedin, had concluded a North Island tour. Tho council stated that Misses Grey, Finlayson and Tliteley had made a fine impression because of their work on the West Coast of the South Island.

The nominees for the 100 yards men's event include tho British Empire Games representative, N. Crump. Ho is reported to be in splendid form and to have excellent prospects of lowering tho New Zealand record, 54 3-ss, hold for three years by R. B. Frankham. Another Empire Games representative competing will be Miss M. Leydon, defending her 220 yards ladies' title. A record is likely to be established by Misa Leydon, who was third in tho 440 yards ladios" Empire championship in Sydney recently. One of the most interesting races will bo that between Miss K. Grey, tho holder, and Miss V. Coulthurst, for the 100 yards ladies' title, as both are well matched.
