ART EXHIBITION
WHANG AREI'S GRATITUDE AUCKLAND SOCIETY THANKED [from oun owx corrkspoxdext] WHAXGAREI, Tuesday Appreciation of tlio action of the Auckland Society of Arts in arranging the exhibition of reproductions held in Whangarci during the past week was voiced at a meeting of the Whangarci Borough Council last night. A resolution recording this appreciation was passed. Reference was also made to the presence at the opening of the exhibition of officers of the Auckland society, and to the interesting and well-attended scries of talks given by Mr. A. C. liipwell during the week that the reproductions were on show. The council has already received appreciative letters from residents, including one from the head of the Whangarei High School, Mr. A. R. Ryder. A total of 2900 people attended the exhibition during the week.
