YESTERDAY'S WEATHER Auckland. —The weather was dull but fine with a moderate to fresh northerly wind yesterday. The maximum temperature was 77 degrees and the minimum was 68 degrees. Midnight, Thursday .. 30.3 Sin, Wellington.—lt was overcast and raining in the morning, with a strong north-westerly wind occasionally reaching gale force. In the afternoon there was a general improvement, with the sun shining at brief intervals. The minimum temperature on Thursday night was 63.0 degrees, and the maximum yesterday 64.6 degrees. At 3.30 o'clock in the afternoon the barometer registered 30.174 in. Christchurch.—The day was dull, overcast and mild, with only a little sun in the afternoon. A light wind blew from the east. The barometer rose steadily, reading 30.15 in. at 5 o'clock. Dunedin.—The day was fine and warm, with a slight breeze from the > south-east. The maximum temperature was 72 degrees. Late in the afternoon a heavy bank of fog appeared on the hills, and quickly spread over the whole city.
