BARQUE PENANG SAILING

After spending a month at Auckland the Finnish barque Penang will put to sea this morning. The Penang, which discharged guano from Juan tie Nova, has been waiting off Hobson Bay this week for three members of her crew. Replacements have been made and she will be towed outside Kangitoto this morning, leaving later for Port Vcitoria, South Australia, to load wheat for the United Kingdom. The Matson liner Monterey arrived yesterday morning from San Francisco, via ports, and sailed late last night for Sydney, where she is due on Monday. The Monterey brought fifi passengers for Auckland, 2117 wore through, and about "270 joined her here. The Dutch motortanker Rotula left yesterday morning for Balik Papan. The Watchlin Line motor-ship Port Whangarei, running under charter to the Gisborne Sheepfarmers' Company, will arrive early to-morrow morning from the East Coast and berth at King's Wharf. The Richardson Line steamer Mako, expected to-day from Tokomaru Bay, will berth at Kings Wharf. Plans to lay her up have been dcfeired and she will now make another trip to the East Coast.

DALFRAM TO SAIL The British steamer Dalfram, discharging basic slag' from Antwerp at King's Wharf, will sail to-day for New Plymouth to complete. THE BRISBANE STAR The departure for Wellington of the Blue Star motor-ship Brisbane Star, at Queen's Wharf, has again been postponed, until noon to-day. She is discharging cargo from West Coast ports of Britain. MATUA ON MONDAY Having left Suva for Ancklat'd late on Thursday night, the Union Company's motorship Matua will arrive on Monday morning and berth at Queen's Wharf. She will sail the same evening for Wellington. AORANGI FROM SYDNEY The liner Aorangi will reach Auckland from Sydney' on Monday morninj? and will berth at Queen's Wharf. She is expected to leave for Vancouver, via ports, at 11 o'clock on Tuesday morning. MIDDLESEX NEARS PORT From Glasgow, in ballast, the Federal Line steamer Middlesex will reach Opua to-morrow morning to begin loading for London and West Coast ports of Britain. She should leave ou Monday for New Plymouth. ACHILLES FUELLING The cruiser Achilles, flagship qt the New Zealand Division, arrived yesterday morning from Wellington after a two months' cruise. She berthed at Calliope Wharf to fuel and will sail at S.-15 on Tuesday morning for Russell and Wellington. THE OLIVEBANK The Bank Line motor-ship Olivebank, which is discharging phosphate from Nauru Island at King's Wharf, will move to Western Wharf to fuel at five o'clock this afternoon. She will return to King's Wharf on Monday morning to complete discharging. HERTFORD IN PORT The Federal Line steamer Hertford, which discharged explosives; at the Motnihi anchorage, moved into port last evening. She will berth this morning at Central Wharf to begin discharging general cargo from West Coast ports of Britain. AWATEA'S MOVEMENTS The Union Company's transtasman liner Awatea left Sydney yesterday foe Wellington and Auckland. She will reach Wellington on Monday morning and leave for Auckland the same night, arriving Jiere about 7.30 on Wednesday morning. The Awatea will clear Auckland for Sydney at five o'clock the same afternoon.
