COMPENSATION FOR INJURY [BT TELEGRAPH —rRESS association] WELLINGTON. Tuesday An award of £IOO was made by the Court of Arbitration yesterday to David Cameron, labourer, of 'Ngahauranga, who claimed from the Wellington Meat Export Company, Limited, for an injury to the right hand received whilo stacking frozen beef into trucks through the hand being crushed against the side of the truck. Medical evidence conflicted as to the advisability of amputating the little finger. Mr. Justice O'Regan said the Court had decided it was a case of hysteria, pure and simple, and commendable efforts had been made to settle the matter out of Court.
