GERMANY DENIES ULTIMATUM PUBLIC CELEBRATING IN BERLIN By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received March 13. 8.5 p.m.) LONDON, March 13 Some hours before the German troops crossed the Austrian frontier it was officially announced in Berlin that Dr. Inquart had telegraphed as follows to Herr Hitler:— "The provisional Government, which, after the resignation of Dr. Schuschnigg's Government, sees as its task the restoration of peace and order in Austria, addresses to the German Government an urgent request to support it in the task and to help in preventing bloodshed. For this purpose it asks for the despatch of German troops at the earliest." It is still denied in. Berlin that Germany issued an tum to Dr. Schuschnigg. Berlin is celebrating the Austrian triumph with processions, and numerous dinners to mark the occasion are being held.
