dren are encouraged to use freely. Most schools, particularly those for secondary training, hold annual swimming sports at one of the public baths, and every inducement is offered to pupils to take part, but for all this, there remain main boys and girls, not only in tho country where there arc few opportunities, but also in the cities where there is every chance, who still cannot tswim. Parents must take responsibility for this undesirable state of affairs in the majority of cases.
