SKATEWAYS GALA OPENING
The gala opening for the season of Skateways' new skating rink, at the ton of Khyber Paaa Road, will be held ne<:t Wednesday evening at 7.30, when many novelty items will bo presented. Noel Matheson will give a Russian number on the skates, and the Alekos, comedy ijcrobats, will be seen. An additional attraction will" be a relay race between teams representing Wai'hi and Auckland, and Russell Middlebrook will present a clever turn on a one-wheel cycle. Music for the opening evening will bo provided by Alf. Wheatlev's orchestra and Monte Carlo prizes will be awarded.
