TE PUKE SOCIAL NEWS
A social afternoon was held by the To Puko Lyceum Club on Tuesday. The president, Mrs. H. A. Yercoe, welcomed the members and guests. The lounge was decorated with bowls of asters and belladonna lilies. J)iiriiig the afternoon solos were rendered by Mrs. W. Longley, Mrs. L. Booker, and Mrs. H. Washer, with Mrs. L. Randell acting as accompanist. Several items were also given by the musical circle choir. Mrs. W. F. Mtmdb and Mrs. 0. Mundt, Paengaroa, have returned from a motor tour of the South Island. Mrs. J. Persey, Oroua Street, is spending a short holiday at Lake Motoiti. Miss Ttira Mac Donald is spending a holiday at Wanganui. Mrs. W. («ell, Te Awnmutu, is the guest of Mrs. F. Hemphill, Seddon Street. Mrs. R. A. Young, Otnmarakau, is visiting Rotorua. Mrs.' R. f). George, Jellicoo Street, is spending a holiday in Auckland. Mrs. Armer, Rotorua, is the guest of Mrs. S. H. Young.
