GIRL'S IMMENSE TASK
ORGANISING 100,000 FARMERS Auburn-haired Miss Eunice Kidd, whose real ambition in life is to have a chicken farm of her own, has been chosen to carry through one of the most difficult tasks in the world—that of organising 100,000 British farmers. This young woman with the constantly smiling eyes is looked upon by tlie farmers as a sort of chicken breeders' .loan of Arc. For all these 100,000 farmers are poultry breeders, and they are expecting criticism any day now in a Government report on the industry. Miss Kidd's task is to form them into a body ready to face criticism and the Government. From her desk in a London office she already controls a sales and advertising organisation covering the whole country. "Farmers are easy to get along with; they are fine fellows," she said. "I think all people who work out of doors are." Here is a day in Miss Kidd's life: Train to Chorley (Lancashire), writing all the way; speech at farmers' meeting; writing till 10 p.m.; bed; train to London next morning, writing all the wav again; back to the office. "I hoped with my love of chickens to load an outdoor life," she said. "I never thought it would bring me to this office."
