THE MARDI GFIAS CUP Is. W. BUCHANAN'S SUCCESS The Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club decided its Slafdi Gras Cup competition as a club fixture, at the Domain last eveiaing. S. W. As the men's jumping board was 12ft from the pit, the chief field judge, Mr. J. W. Turnbull, ruled in favour 01. the adies taking off from a whitewash mark closer to tho Band Miss G. O. Lowe, after the competition, entered a protest on the ground that the take-off should have been from the board. The protest will q>me before the committee! at its next meeting.
