DEATH OF BANKER
MR. GEORGE F. PEABODY NEW YORK, March 0 The death is announced of Mr. George Foster Peabody, a retired banker and philanthropist. Mr. Peabody, who was aged 86, was in the banking business in the United States for many years. From 1904 to 1905 he was treasurer of the Democratic National Committee, and from 1910 to 1915 was chairman of the State of New York Reservation Commission. Mr. Peabody was also a trustee of several educational institutions.
