THEFT OF CLOTHES ALLEGED INDECENT LANGUAGE CHARGE Charged with stealing a suitcase containing a pair of pyjamas, shorts, shirt, bathing costume ami a irock, the property of Margaret Graham Robertson, and an overcoat, the property of Trcvoe Moss Davis, Martin Ford (Mr. Robinson), a carpenter, appeared before Mr. C R Orr Walker, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday morning. Accused, who pleaded not guilty, was remanded until next Monday. Bail ol £SO was allowed, with one surety ot £SO. , , • Pleading guilty to a charge of usni;z indecent language on Sunday as the result of a dispute with a tax.-dnycr, Leslie Blake, aged 38 (Mr. Hall Skelton), was convicted and fined £«3 and costs. . ... With a list of 41 previous convictions for drunkenness, John Joseph McQuade, a seaman, aged 54, was remanded until to-morrow in order that inciuiiies could be maclo ns to his fitness to bo detained at Kotoroa Island. Charged with an attempt to commit suicide, Walter Harris, labourer, aged GB, 'Has remanded until next Monday.
