MR. W. C. FERGUSON The'death lias occurred of Mr. William Currie Ferguson, an old resident of Auckland and before his retirement some yours &fio well known iu the business life of the city. Mr. Ferguson was born in tho Isle of Arran, Scotland, in. 1858, and came to New Zealand 54 years ago in the sailing ship Margaret Galbrnith, of which his brother, tlio lnte Captain John Ferguson, was;] master. . , Mr. Ferguson's earliest years in New Zealand were spent in the Clevedon; district and he went later to tho South; Island, living for a number of years in Ashburton and Timaru. Mrs. Fergusotij died five years ago. Mr. Ferguson is; survived by tAvo daughters and one; son.
