JOINERS ON STRIKE
GLASGOW EXHIBITION OPENING' MAY BE DELAYED LONDON, March I .Recalling the strikes which delayed the completion of the Paris Exhibition, more than 1000 joiners working on the Glasgow Exhibition buildings struck for an increase of 5d per hour to 2s, with an additional Id an hour for those who, working outside the buildings, are hampered by rain and mud. As the joiners are the key men, the opening of the exhibition on the date fixed, namely May 3, may be delayed.
