COLLISION WITH TRUCK

YOUNG CYCLIST KILLED MORRINSVILLE INQUEST [bv telegraph OWN correspondent] MORRINSVILLE. Wednesday An inquest into the death of Arthur Harold Jagger, aged 16, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. .B. Jagger, of Matamata, who was killed when his racing bicycle collided with a motor-truck on the main road about three miles from Morrinsville on the morning of February 13, was held yesterday. Evidence was given that when turning in from outside one of his companions Jagger's front wheel caught the back of the other bicycle, the impact throwing him against the rear part of the truck. The coroner's finding was that Jagger was killed through the bicycle he was riding, colliding with a motor-truck driven by Bernard Sydney Wright. No blame was attachable to the driver of the truck.
