TRADE DISPUTES
FRENCH LEGISLATION TROUBLE WITH SENATE PARIS. Feb. 28 The Senate was about to reject the Government's series of bills voted in the Chamber of Deputies dealing with arbitration in trade disputes and so forth, but refrained on a warning from M. Chautemps, the Premier, that their rejection would mean his resignation. The Senate is now confining itself to amendments, which- are certain to be rejected when the bills return to the Chamber. A critical period is expected about the middle of the week.
