WHITE BUTTERFLY

GREAT INCREASE AT OPOTIKI EXTRAORDINARY NUMBERS [by telegraph—own correspondent] OPOTIKI, Monday Although the white butterfly was considered to be worse than in previous years a few weeks ago, the pest has since increased alarmingly, and during the last three days has been seen in extraordinary numbers, even in open pasture land. During his political address at Opotiki last Wednesday, Mr. A. F. Moncur, member for Rotorua, said that if application was made to nim he would see that supplies of the wasp parasite were forwarded to Opotiki. With the position becoming worse, there should bo little question of Mr. Moncur's offer being accepted.
