STABLE'S UNBEATEN RUN

GOLDEN MONESS UNLUCKY MAIDEN PACERS UNIMPRESSIVE [by TELEGRArH OWN CORRESPONDENT] WELLINGTON, Sunday The most noteworthy aspect of the Wairarapa Trotting Club's meeting was the unbeaten record of horses from M. B. Edwards' stable. He won both trotting events with Princess Beverley, the J. A. McDougall Handicap with Zineali and the Greytown Handicap with Philario. Edwards was in his best form, and drove all his charges with fine judgment. Zincali won the principal event very easily. He left Golden Mo ness and Trevor de Oro standing over the last furlong, Trevor de Oro having to go 4.29 3-5 from 48 yards, a 4.42 mark. Zincali is a four-year-old gelding by Jack Potts from Zara, and is owned by J. Steele, of All Black fame. Princess Beverley outclassed the other trotters. Biworthy made a race of it in the Moroa Handicap, but the winner had something in hand. Princess Beverley is a neat little chestnut mare by Native King from Beverley Audubon. In her only other race she finished second to Peggotty at Ashburton on "Boxing Day. Philario, a brother to Francisco and related to Tom Thumb and Talaro, was too good for Bayard from the same mark in the Greytown Handicap. Bayard earlier in the day had won the mile sadde event, the Carterton Handicap, with something in hand. He claimed a pony allowance and S. A. Edwards was able to ride him at 9.0.

The maiden pacers were a poor lot. Loch Leven outstayed Myrtle Oro in the Martinborough Handicap, but he was not impressive. Myrtle Oro had he* turn in the Featherston Handicap and she just scrambled homo from the backmarker, Sans Pareil, who went 2.46 2-5. Myrtle Oro is now owned by Mr. J. A. McDotigall and is trained at Greytown by H. McNae. Golden Moness should uot have been beaten in tho Masterton Handicap. Hori Bingen and Sir Frank had her securely pocketed until haif-way drtwrt tho straight and when she was pulled back and brought to the outer, it was too late. Slippery Sam won decisively from-Lord Wrack.
