WAIKEBIA PBISONEB NO TRACE YET FOUND / EFFORTS OF THE POLICE ] \ CONTINUOUS LOOKOUT KEPI" Searches conducted over an increas- • ingly wide area of th© Parflwcrfl district by four separate parties of police and warders from the Waikeria prison camp yesterday proved fruitless, and Richard Jackson Ruff Moyle, aged 27, the prisoner who escaped from the caintf, last Sunday night, was still at largo, ' late last night. Two parties of searchers. , were to continue scouring the district,., throughout the night. In contrast to the-position on pre*, vious days since tho escape, no reports concerning the movements of tlw prisoner were received at the prison camp yesterday. ' . .iVS The possibility of the prisoner's hav« ing been given a lift on one of thß. many night transport lorries that pass on the main road to and from Rotorua was still entertained by the superin-. tendent of the prison camp, Mr. D* Dunlop, last night. He said the area; of the search was being constantly expanded, and he was confident that an , early recapture would be made. Detectives and constables in Auckland have been warned to keep a lookout fpr Moyle in the event of his attempting to 'enter the city. Before escaping, Moyle had been a€ the prison camp for only a week, having been sentenced to serve a term of two years for the conversion of a doctor's motor-car at Hamilton at Christ-, mas time.
