HEAVY RAINFALL
ROTORUA STATISTICS [Br telegraph—own correspondent] ROTORUA, Wednesday With a total of 11.16 in. of rain since the beginning of the present month Rotorua has experienced an exceptionally wet February, which shows signs of establishing a new record. The previous record was established in February, 1936, when 14.38 in. was registered. Almost continuous rain since yesterday morning had up to 9 a.m. to-day measured 2.08 in., with ; 36iu. up to 6 p.m., when rain was still falling. Already this year 16.77 in. of rain have fallen, against 9.61 in. for the first two months last year.
