LONDON, Feb. 13 The Daily Telegraph says that the. Air Ministery is considering an attempt upon the world speed record for land aeroplanes, with a Spitfire day and night lighter. Ihese machines are faster than those of the Hurricane type, in ■which Squadron-Leader Gillan created a record of 409 miles an hour this week.
