PAMELUS TRIUMPHS BRILLIANT VICTORY BY HUA BOND HANDICAP TO EGMONT (Received February 13, 2 p.m.) MELBOURNE, Feb. 13 The well-performed Pamelus broke a long run of seconds in irnpotrant events by a billiant win in the, Oakleigh Plate at the Victoria Amateur Turf Club's meeting at Caulfield j-esterday. The minor place-getters, Amiable and Othello, finished well. Scoring his third win in three starts this season, Hua outclassed his rivals in the St. George Stakes. Egmont pleased his admirers for the Australian Cup by scoring a fino victory in the Bond Handicap, in which Le Grand came home strongly. Custos failed to show up in tile Welter Handicap, which was won by Irving, ridden by A. Reed. The two-year-old Nuffield stamped himself as a great colt by winning his division of the Federal Stakes under 9.10. Details:—

IMPROVEMENT SCORES VICTORY At moorefield BEAU VERRE WINS JUVENILE (Received February 13, 2 p.m.) , SYDNEY, Feb. 33 The New Zealand owned and bred Improvement won the Moorefield Handicap at the Moorefield races yesterday from After Six and Panaster in a close finish. The Juvenile Handicap, for two-year-old fillies, went to Beau Verre, a daughter of Beau Pere. Late Night and Sturdee wore unplaced in the Three-Year-Old Handicap, while Housemaster was third to Morning Gift and Wise Boy in the St. George Handicap. The Palmist, in the first division of the Flying Welter Handicap, and El Mevnell, in the second division, were unplaced. Details:—
