WOMEN ABOARD BARQUE
PASSENGERS IN THE PENANG Two young women are passengers in the Finnish barque Penang, which is nearing Auckland after a voyage from Nossi J3e, an island off Madagascar. They are Miss Dorothy Laird, of Arran, and Miss Catherine Bridger, of Wallasey, who joined the Penang when she left Leith in August. Both the travellers are greatly interested in sailing ships, and when Auckland is reached they intend to continue their; travels 'round the world*
