It is stated that the King does not approve the increase in severity of the dictatorship or the recent arrests, including that of the Royalist leader, M. Theotokis, on an unproved suggestion that he and others were concerned in a plot on the life of General Metaxas. The King also considers the severity of ,the censorship on the home and foreign press increases discontent among the Greek people unnecessarily and alarms foreign countries concerning the state of Greece.
