SINGAPORE BASE MANOEUVRES BEGUN (Received February S, 6.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, Feb. 2 Manoeuvres in connection with the opening of the Singapore base have begun. Twenty-seven warships, including an aircraft-carrier, destroyers and submarines of the East Indies and the China Squadrons, three Royal Indian Navv sloops ond over 100 aeroplanes, together with land forces, comprising approximately 10,000 troops, are taking part.
