SCHOOLS AT NORTHCOTE
SEPARATE HEADMASTERS START OF NEW CONTROL When the schools at Xorthcote reo>3on to-morrow for the new year, the control of the district high school and the primary school will be, for the first time, under separate headmasters. Mr. F. A. Garry, for the past 14 years headmaster of the Mount Roskill School, has been appointed principal of the newly constituted Xorthcote high and intermediate school. He is a pastpresident of the New Zealand Educational Institute and has been a mem-
ber of the executive committee of that body for about 20 years. He has served for 1-f years as teachers' representative on the Teachers' Superannuation Board, and at present is president of the Auckland Institute for Educational Research. The headmaster of the primary school will be Mr. Roy Douglas Kelly, who for several years has been the headmaster of the Paninure School. When he retired on superannuation Mr. W. J. Weruham was succeeded as nrincipal of the Northcote District High School on September 7, 19-'H3. by Mr. A, C. Roue, who. however, last June was appointed to the inspectorate. Since then .Air. H. R. Clark, first assistant, has been the acting-principal.
