ARAWA LEADER'S SPEECH

COPY FOR THE KING LETTER OF APPRECIATION [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] ROTORUA, Thursday A letter of appreciation has been received from Buckingham Palace by Mr. and Mrs. J. Mitchell, of Kotorua, who some time ago prepared a special reprint of the speech delivered by Mr. Kepa Ehau, who represented the Arawa tribe at the Coronation celebrations held in Kotorua, and forwarded it through the GovernorGeneral to the King. The letter is signed by Major A. H. Hardinge. principal private secretary to the King, who had commanded the writer to thank Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell for the trouble they had taken to bring the speech to His Majesty's notice. His Majesty asked also that his appreciation of the loyal assurances and good wishes expressed be conveyed to Mr. Kepa Ehau.
