Mr. W. D. Gordon, of Wellington, acting-general manager of Dominion Motors, Limited, was a passenger by the limited express for The south last night.
Mr. W. T. Cheeseman has been ap. pointed acting-town clerk of Pukekohe. He will carry out the duties of Mr., S. Bish. who has obtained three months' leave of absence on account of his health.
Mr. W. X. Norwood, general manager of Dominion Motors, Limited. Well, ington, returned from a trip to England and America by the Monterey yesterday, accompanied by Mrs,_ Xor. wood. They went south by the limited express last night.
Mr. C. P. Hainsworth,. general manager of the New Zealand Centennial Exhibition, is due to arrive in Auckland to-day in order to join the Aorangi on a tour overseas on business relating to the exhibition. He will be accompanied by Mrs. Hainsworth.
