GAMES AT WANGANUI RESULTS OF CHAMPIONSHIPS [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WANGANUI, Wednesday The Dominion croquet championships were continued to-day in fine weather when* a start was made with the ladies' and men's singles championships. In the first life and first round of the former event Mrs. Watkihs won from Mrs. Gambrill, 26—13. In the men's championship, first round, first life, H. P. . Stratton won from G. Hart, 26—14, and J. Tannock won from W. E. Tve, 26 —22. In the first round, second life, R. W. McCreath won from 9. A. Penn, 26—3. . The results of the doubles championship were: —Taylor and Hicks beat Burnett and Matthews, 26—15; Wansborough and La Roche beat Walker and August, 26—12; Mrs. Jar vie and Cuthbertson beat Veitch and Johnstone, 26—24; f McMurrav and Davidson beat Tiffen and Sampson, 26—17.
