BUSY COUNTY ENGINEER

[FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] 4 HAMILTON, Wednesday Although the Waikato County Council was willing to give the county engineer, Mr. A. A. Woodward, leave to attend the annual conference of the New Zealand Institute of Engineers, which is to be held shortly in Dunedin, Mr. Woodward told the council at its meeting yesterday that, on account of the largo amount of work to be completed, he did not think it advisable to make the trip. Mr. Woodward said tluit the published reports of the conference would contain full information of the papers to be read this year.
