LLOYD GEORGE CELEBRATION JANUARY 24 British Wireless RUGBY, Jan. 12 The newspapers are displaying gx - eat interest in the golden wedding of Mr. Lloyd George, which will take place quietly on January 24 on the Riviera, where Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd George are on holiday. In two years Mr. Lloyd George wilt also bo his first election to the House of Commons as another "golden" event. Fifty years of continuous service in the House of Commons is without precedent in Parliamentary history.

Mr. Lloyd George was married on January 24, 1888, to Miss Margaret Owen, daughter of Mr. Richard Owen, of Cricieth, Wales. He has represented Caernarvon in the House of Commons since 1890, first as a Liberal and Bince 1931 as an Independent Liberal.
