OPENING SESSION
RUSSIAN PARLIAMENT OVATION FOR M. STALIN (Received January 13, 6.5 p.m.) MOSCOW. Jan. 12 The Russian dictator, M. Stalin, received an ovation which lasted eight minutes at the opening of the Soviet's new Parliament. The 1143 Deputies assembled in the Kremlin and elected an Academician, M. Bach, a whitebearded biologist, 81 years of nge, to
preside over the first session. After a speech by M. Bach on the theme that Russia is the only democratic country in the world since there is no exploitation of man by man, the deputies elected M. Andreyeff, a member of M. Stalin's conclave, as chairman or Speaker, after which the House adjourned.
