DELAY TO EXPRESS
PASSENGERS ARRIVE LATE TRANSFERENCE OF LUGGAGE [BT TELEGRAPH —OW.V CORREBPON DEXT ] ' NEW PLYMOUTH, "Wednesday Two New Zealanders returning from England by the Blue Star liner New Zealand Star, which berthed at New Plymouth at six o'clock this morning from Liverpool, via Brisbane, had a rush to catch the 2.25 p.m. express to Wellington, and as a result the departure of the express was delayed eight minutes. The two passengers Mere Mr. Justice Blair and Mrs. Blair, of Wellington, returning to the Dominion after a year's holiday in England. They arrived at the station in a taxi at the moment when the train was scheduled to leave. Their late arrival need not have delayed the departure of the express more than a minute or two, but a truck load of luggage tliat followed them had to be transferred to the luggage van with the help of two platform luggage carts. Consequently the express left the New Plymouth station eight minutes behind schedule time..
