DOMINION CONTESTS CHRISTCHURCH TOURNEY HIGH STANDARD SHOWN [by TELEGRAPH —PRESS association] CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday Tennis of a high standard was watched at* Wilding Park to-day by a fairly big crowd, when the New Zealand junior tennis championship tournament began in ideal weather. Two members of New Zealand's last Davis Cup team, A. C. Stedman and D. C. Coombe, played an exhibition match, which Stedman won, 6 —.'J, (3—2, 7—5. A doubles match, played between A. R, Cant and M. A. Harnett, Cantorbury doubles champions, and Stedman and Coombe, resulted in a win for the .latter pair, 6—2, 11 —9, 6 —o. Following were the results: — Boys' Singles First .Round. —H, B.
