FIRE ALARM SYSTEM

NEEDS OF PAPATOETOE A report on the installation of an improved fire alarm system was presented at the Papatoetoe Town Board meeting on Tuesday night by the Underwriters' Association, which had undertaken an inspection of the district. The report stated that a system of zoning and indicating the seat of an outbreak in any area by means of coloured lights on a pole at the town hall would best serve the district in the meantime. It was decided to refer the report to the fire committee in consultation with the brigade, and to obtain an estimate of costs.
