YESTERDAY'S SALES RETURN ON. INVESTMENTS Following is a list of yesterday's transactions on the Now Zealand Stock Exchanges and the yield at the quoted price. The exchange premium on dividends payable in sterling is included. THE MINING MARKET MOUNT LYELLS RECOVER MOUNT MORGANS EASIER Mount Lyells opened strongly in the mining market 011 the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday, and some of the ground lost before the holidays was recovered. Business passed 2s 6d higher at 3.'3s 6d on a rising market. Mount Morgans dropped, back 9d to 10s 6d, but the demand strengthened at the close. Offers for Marthas opened slightly lower. Silver is quoted at 19 9-16 d an ounce spot, and 19id forward, compared with 19 11-lfad and 19fcd on Saturday. The quotation for silver at per fine ounce is 21 id, compared with 21 3-16 d on January 7. The following is a summary of the fluctuation in the price per ounce of fine gold this year:
