MOTHER ASSAULTED
YOUNG MAORI FINED £2 [from OUlt OWN correspondent] PUKEKOHE, Tuesday Charged with assaulting his mother and another Maori woman, a 21-year-old Maori, Tati Eatahi. appeared in the Police Court to-day before Mr. D. McC. Armstrong, J.P. Constable F. Wakelin stated that accused assaulted his mother after quarrelling with her. The other woman remonstrated with him and he then struck her. _ j Accused was fined £2, in default 14 days' imprisonment, on one charge, and ordered to come up for sentence if called on within 12 months on the second. He was also directed to leave Pukekohe at once.
