FLEET IN FAR EAST

BRITAIN'S LARGE RESOURCES LONDON, Dec. 20 "Nauticus," a writer in the Daily Telegraph, states that a number of naval experts whom he consulted were satisfied that, in the event of an emergency, forces could be sent to the Far East without endangering the security of other stations. Britain could send the following:— From the Home Fleet.—Rodney and two battleships of the Royal Sovereign class.

From the Mediterranean.—Hood and Repulse. From Africa.—Neptune. From North America.—York, Exeter and Apollo. From Fast Indies. —Emerald and Enterprise.

From Australia.—Canberra, Australia and Sydney. From New Zealand.—Achilles and Leander.

These would make a strength of five capital ships, with 48 heavy guns, seven cruisers, nine light cruisers, one minelayer, and one large aircraft-carrier, nine destroyers, 15 modern submarines.
