The residence was designed by Mr, Roy Binney, a former Auckland architect who was later associated with Sir Edwin Lutyens, of London, * worldfamous architect, who planned many ot the modern buildings in Delhi, India, and the magnificent Catholic Cathedral in Liverpool, England, at present under construction. A feature of the Remuera residence is the spacious living room, which included a splendidly-appointed musicians' gallery.
