PRINCESS ELIZABETH

QUESTION OF TITLE " BALMORAL " SUGGESTED [from a special correspondent] LONDON, Dec. 1L What title will the Heir Presumptive to the Throne have conferred upon her? Scotland is hoping that it will be one of Scottish origin. The title of Princess of Wales has been mentioned, but the editor of "Debrett" pointed out this week that this was impossible, as this is a title reserved for the wife of the Prince of Wales. It is considered likely that, should a title be chosen for the Princess, it will bp one with a Scottish connection, as a compliment to her Scots mother as well as to the Scottish nation. But there are difficulties. Any established clan or family name or the name of any country might cause disappointment to families and clans passed over in the choice of a Royal title, so the alternative that is being suggested in Scottish circles is Princess of Balmoral. \\ ith its own tartan and long association with Royalty, Balmoral has come to be regarded almost as one of the cians.
