POLYNESIAN DIOCESE
APPEAL MADE FOR FUNDS LONDON. Dec. 10 The Archbishop of York, the Bishop of London, Viscount Bledisloe and ViceAdmirai Swabey are appealing for financial aid for the diocese of Polynesia. They recall that the bishopric endowment fund, launched in 1935, aimed at £IO,OOO, of which about onethird was forthcoming. They add: "We are confident that if Church people realised how comparatively small is the amount required to save the diocese from a serious financial crisis, the remainder would be speedily provided."
