THE GEORGIAN READERS

END-OF-THE-YEAR PARTY The final meeting for this year of the Georgian Readers, held at the home of the president, Mrs. M. A. Latter, of Remuera Road, took the form of a Christmas party. A varied and interesting selection of plays had been chosen for the occasion. These included "Dux," "The Second Guest," "Impersonation" and "To Kill a Man." The readers were:— Mrs. Latter, Miss Trixie Abel, Mrs. W. Kent, Messrs. Peter Bathurst, Norman Pilcher, John Kelsev, H. McKail Geddes, Edgai Middleton, Terry Agmen Smith and Ron Bowie. Taking part in a duologue were Miss Jean Thompson and Mr. J. W. Clark. During the evening Mrs. Latter was presented with a green glass floating bowl by the Rev. W. Jellie on behalf of members yi appreciation of her interest in the society and with a bouquet by tho honorary secretary, Miss E. Gibson.
