OBITUARY

MR. D. PATTERSON [from our own corrkspondknt] WHANGAREr, Saturday The death occurred yesterday in Whangarei of Mr. David Patterson aped ,6 years. Born at Williamstown, Australia, Mr. Patterson came to New Zealand at the ago of six years, his parents settling in Dunedin. At the age nt 24 he married Miss Elizabeth Brothers. With his wife he came to the north 35 years ago and settled first at Kanio and later in Whangarei, where ho had since resided. He was instrumental in founding \ the first cricket association in North Auckland. He was president of the Marsden Rifle Club. There" was a family of three girls and seven boys.
